Having a pretty bad flair up with my RA. Wondering if anyone knows of anyother herbs or fruits other than pomagranits or cherries that I might try to reduce or eliminate pain or Arthritis? Please only serious answers.

    Take fish oil supplements. Fish oil is the only supplement that is backed by strong evidence showing it helps RA symptoms.

    There are other supplements out there such as thunder god vine that are promising but are not currently available in the US and do not have enough research backing them.

    I actually recently wrote a research paper on the use of dietary supplements to treat RA. Email me if you want me to send you a copy, it may help explain what works, what may work, and what doesn’t.

    I really hope you feel better! RA must be so tough to cope with.

    WHICH FOODS HELP OR HINDER ARTHRITIS?

    The natural cure for arthritis includes following a low acid diet, avoiding dairy and meat products, all juices, white flour products, sugar, coffee, soft drinks, eggplant, and tomatoes. Eating a lot of raw fruits and organic vegetables is recommended, along with whole grains, walnuts and soybeans, and fish like, salmon, tuna, trout, and mackerel. In addition to the above dietary changes, one should be drinking a minimum of 64 oz. pure water daily to remove toxins from the body, to cushion the joints, and to replenish the cartilage. To find out how much water your own body needs daily, divide your weight by 2 and that is the number of ounces of pure water you should be drinking minimally. For every 8 oz. caffeinated beverages you drink, add another 12 oz. pure water to offset the damage the caffeine does to your body. Smoking and alcohol should also be avoided.

    Eat 4 stalks of celery a day to help arthritis suffering.

    Try eating 40 to 80 Goji Berries or drinking 4 to 8 oz. 100% pure Goji Berry juice every day. You can buy dried Goji Berries at and rehydrate them by placing some of the dried berries in a cup and pouring hot water over them. Eat them when they have softened, then drink the liquid as a tea. You can discard any sediment when you get to the bottom, but don’t be afraid to eat the tiny seeds that might come out. Goji Berries are not handled by human hands. The berries are shaken from the bush onto a mat, then dried and packaged.

    Supplements such as garlic, bromelain, evening primrose oil, flaxseed oil, and vitamins and minerals such as vitamin E, C, boron, calcium, magnesium, silica, and manganese are very good for arthritis sufferers. Glucosamine, and Chondroitin, and MSM have been very effective in reducing arthritic pain when taken over a long period of time. Antioxidants such as gingko biloba extract, green tea, and grape seed extract are very helpful.

    Soak a 16 oz. box of Golden Raisins (not the dark ones) in a quart bottle of gin until all the liquid is soaked up by the raisins, which should take about two weeks. Then eat 9 of the raisins every day to cure arthritis. This folk remedy seems to be at the top of the list for curing arthritis. Modern science says to avoid alcohol where arthritis is concerned.

    Massage the affected body parts with pure cold-pressed sesame oil to relieve pain.

    Take 1 Tbsp. cod liver oil on an empty stomach either 4 hours before or after you eat to relieve arthritis pain.

    Take the homeopathic remedy called Rhus Tox or the formula called Arthritis Relief. Bryonia is needed for stiffness and soreness in the body.

    To stop arthritis pain, eat lots of cherries and drink lots of cherry juice daily.

    Arthritis sufferers can rub a fresh clove of garlic on painful areas for relief.

    Eat 8 English Walnut halves every day on an empty stomach to give relief.

    Take 4 Tbsp. extra virgin organic coconut oil divided into 4 equal doses every day for arthritis relief.

    Eat some coconut each day to relieve arthritis pain.

    Two teaspoons of lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey mixed in a cup of warm water taken twice a day is good for arthritis.

    Take a good quality multi-vitamin supplement daily that contains good amounts of Vitamins A, C, E, magnesium, selenium, zinc, boron, silica, and the B complex vitamins.

    Mix two teaspoons apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of honey in a small glass of warm water taken once or twice a day to bring relief from arthritis.

    Mix 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 cup black strap molasses, and 20 drops black walnut tincture. Store your mixture in a glass jar. It does not have to be refrigerated. Take 3 Tbsp. daily, one before each meal. Continue for one month, then reduce the dosage to 1 Tbsp. morning and evening for maintenance. This helps arthritis, osteoporosis, and migraine headaches.

    Avoid eating fatty foods, fried foods, junk foods, processed foods, white flour, sugar, soft drinks, table salt, pickled meats, alcohol and strong acidic fruit or vegetable drinks as well as anything in the nightshade family.

    The herb Guggulu is very helpful in relieving arthritis. Take half a teaspoon twice a day after meals mixed into warm water.

    Make a paste of 1 tsp. cayenne pepper and 1 Tbsp. minced gingerroot mixed in half a cup of sesame oil. Let infuse for 2 weeks. Strain into a bottle that can be capped. Gently rub this oil on the affected joints as needed.

    Camphor, castor, wintergreen and cinnamon oils are also beneficial mixed for external rubbing application.

    Warm coconut oil mixed with camphorated oil in equal parts should be massaged into stiff aching joints. It will increase blood supply and reduce inflammation and stiffness as a gentle warmth is produced while massaging.

    Bogbean, an aquatic herb, is useful for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. It is an anti-inflammatory. This herb cleans the urinary tract, so drink lots of water while taking it to get rid of the built-up uric acid in your body.

    Mix equal parts of the following herbs: black cohosh, gentian root, angelica, colombo, scullcap, valerian, and buckthorn bark. Take one heaping teaspoon added to a cup of boiling water. Let steep ten minutes. Strain out herbs. Drink three 1/2 cups per day.

    Eat a couple bananas daily.

    PAIN ELIMINATOR DRINK:
    1 lemon
    1 orange
    3 pears
    3 apples
    Wash the pears and apples. Peel the lemon and orange. Juice everything, then drink it.

    Drink Noni Juice as it relieves pain and reduces inflammation in the body.

    Use ActivOn Ultra Strentgh for Arthritis Rub On or ActivOn Ultra Strength Joint and Muscle Rub On. Both can be purchased online at.

    The herb Boswellia has anti-inflammatory effects similar to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, etc.) but Boswellia does not have side effects and does not cause liver damage or gastrointestinal bleeding. It improves circulation to the joints, relieves pain, inflammation, and stiffness.

    Take Vitamin E daily to protect and improve joint mobility.

    Take Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplements daily, but give them several months to work.

    Take Omega3 Fish Oil capsules daily, or eat a serving of fish each day. Salmon or Rainbow Trout are good for arthritis.

    Take Flaxseed Oil capsules.

    Buy a Bio-Mat and Pillow to sleep on. These are expensive but can be found online.

    For two or three months eat one raw clove of garlic every day as it is very beneficial. If you cannot tolerate raw garlic, roast it and eat it that way.

    Mix 2 Tbsp. mullein, 3 Tbsp. powdered slippery elm, 1 Tbsp. lobelia, and 1 tsp. cayenne. Add enough hot water to make a paste. Spread on cloth and place on swollen joints.

    Oil of origanum, oil of lobelia, oil of capsicum, mixed with coconut oil for a good rub are recommended as a natural remedy for arthritis.

    A good arthritis rub can be made from 2 oz. each eucalyptus oil, oil of wintergreen, rubbing alcohol, and witch hazel. Mix, shake, then rub on your achey joints.

    Make a massage oil for arthritis, bursitis, rheumatism, or any ligaments, tendons, joints, muscles, or aching bones pain by mixing the following:
    Wintergreen oil, Olive oil, Menthol oil, Gingerroot, Arnica flowers, Calendula flowers, and Cayenne Pepper. You decide how much each your body needs.

    I know a very old lady who swears by nettles. She boils them up and drinks the liquid as a tea. I have gathered and frozen nettles for her, so she can use them during the coming winter.

    Fish oil is the ONLY thing that has any consistent favorable results in research.

    i challenge anyone to do what Harley wrote and not get good results. she has set out a good basic nature cure program, the same type that has had thousands and thousands of success cases.

    most of the studies people do are for one supplement. that has a lot to do with economics. naturally they what to find a product to sell. its not a conspiracy its just normal business.

    i knew someone who was limping around from a nee problem he was going to get surgery on it in the near future. it was swollen and inflamed. i knew nutrition would help. so i said why don’t you try flax oil, lecithin capsules and vitamin E.

    after 4 days he was walking without any pain. he couldn’t believe it and it even surprised me at how good it worked.

    flax oil is better then fish oil. i get that from Edo Erasmus the worlds best authority on healing oil. you want the omega 3 that’s the anti inflammatory part of the oil and flax is the best.

    lecithin capsules are the thing to get not grains.

    vitamin E in large amounts is what you need. take the biggest prescribe-able amount. you need a very large amount of it.

    if you did a lot of what Harley wrote and upped the vitamin E and lecithin and flax oil, i would be very confident that you would be very pleased with the results.
