Menopause Herbal

What were your symptoms? Did you choose HRT or herbals or do nothing and why? Also did you experience menopause migraines and how did you treat them? Did you have migraines prior to menopause? How long does this last?

I answered you & chose my reply as best answer but you’d asked what herbs I’m using for these symptoms. But the way this answer place is, I couldnt find any other way to reply except this way, so hoefully you’ll read this.

The herbs I use are these:

black cohosh (root), 540mg, 1 capsule 3 times a day.
dong quai (root), 565mg., 2 capsules 3 times a day.

Unfortunately, it’s been my experience if you try to get these strengths at the big food stores that don’t specialize in organics & herbal supplements, the strengths are very low- 40mg only and not effective because of this. My mother is currently going through the menopause. Whilst she was taking HRT she was fine, but she has been taken off it due to risks of breast cancer increasing the longer you take it.
Can anyone reccomend a good (preferably tried and tested) herbal alternative?xxxx
I didn’t mean that my mum specifically is at risk of breast cancer, I meant there is an increased risk for all women from prolonged use of HRT, and so her Dr reccomended she stop taking it.

I have been taking over the counter estrovene for about 6 months and when I first started taking it, it worked but here lately (the past week or two) it seems to not be working.
